These days... 呢幾日

Had been writing nonstop for 4 days,
寫咗四日，

Finally finishing the entries about our vacation.
終於將三日假期寫好。

Please give me a round of applause!!! I deserve it! :):):):)

為我鼓掌啦！

As it is really difficult to type in both Cantonese and English, not to mention posting photos!

因為又中又英又相咁，

Every entry here really is composed of blood and sweat.

要花好多時間。

Oh... actually, I haven't had a chance to proof read any misspelling or grammatical mistake.

我都未得閒睇錯別字同英文文法⋯

As I hadn't taken many photos these days after we came back to Helsinki,

由於呢幾日我無乜影相，

I will conclude these days in one post.

所以簡短咁講下呢幾日嘅事:）

1st August

8月1日

We went to a wholesale superstore!
我哋去咗超大型批發市場！

Al of you must be aware of how high the living standard is in Finland.
芬蘭物價高，

So, in order to help restaurants and companies to be more competitive,
相信大家都知道。

They came up with the idea of having this type of wholesale market.

但原來佢地係有批發市場俾公司同餐廳買平嘢！

Just like what we have in Kwung Tong or Guang Nam Wholesale Company in Taiwan.

即係好似觀塘果D批發店呢，同台灣光南大批發果D呢。

However, you must have a company membership card in order to buy things.

但你要有張公司卡先買得，

As APe's company let them borrow its card,

因為芬蘭猴公司果將卡係可以任員工借，

APe and I drove there to fill our cabinet!

所以我地星期一就揸車去掃貨啦！

We spent 200 Euro in one go!

買咗成200歐羅！

Hong Kong people are famous for being shrewd.

精明嘅港人，

Here is one!

即係我，

We are suspicious of anything which sounds too good to be true.

當然唔信有咁大隻蛤乸隨街跳啦！

And because of this, I wasn't tricked! Some of the merchandises are really more expensive than those you can find in normal supermarket!

又咁俾我發現佢有唔少嘢係俾出面超市每件貴成5毫子歐羅至2歐羅，

And the price difference can be up from 0.5 to 2 Euros!

即如果唔小心，

Meaning, if you don't pay attention, one product can be HK$4 to $16 dollars more expensive!

分分鍾每件貨貴成4鈫至16鈫港幣！

Nonsense!

嘩大佬，

Now that I don't have any income,

我而家食緊老本，

And given that I still have not known how much tax I need to pay for last fiscal year,

重有上年稅未知要交幾多，

I must stay alert.

都係小心D好！

2nd August

8月2日

We were invited by Paula, APe's ex-boss and good friend,
今日我哋應芬蘭猴前上司兼好朋友波娜邀請，

To her summer house with a couple of good friends in Helsinki today.
同佢幾個同事兼好朋友係波娜嘅避暑小屋玩。

I had been wondering what to bring for a few days,
我緊張咗幾日。

As you know,
你知啦，

Hong Kong people don't go to other people's house if you are not close.係香港我哋唔熟幾時會上人哋屋企玩或食飯？

And when you go, you are usually empty-handed.

上去通常都係帶兩梳蕉咋。

As for Finns, they bring a lot of alcohol!

但芬蘭人係會帶幾支酒去𠺢！

However, for a person who has low alcohol tolerance, what should I bring???
而我呢個一杯即醉可以點？

Of course, FOOD!!
未係帶嘢食去囉！

When we were in the wholesale market, we saw some really good eggplants and zucchini.

噙日係批發度買咗D靚矮瓜同青瓜，

and because it's so hot these days,

所以係咁熱嘅天氣下，

We had decided to make some cold dishes: Minced meat with eggplant and Sweet and spicy cucumber.

我哋決定整涼伴青瓜同改版肉碎涼伴茄子。

Paula's French style melon soup! C'est magnifique!
波娜煮嘅法式西瓜湯！好好飲呀！

And for my dishes, they all praised them!

佢哋個個都話好食，

One of them even pressed for the recipe! :):):):)

重有人追我哋要食譜添呀！

I was so glad!

好開心！

We also played a board game about sending animals back into their cages in a zoo.

果日我哋重同兩個小朋友玩一個有關農塲同動物嘅遊戲，

I believe Nicole and Nathan will like this game for they can learn while playing.

我相信可以幫晴晴同大舊予學習於遊戲。

Then, like what we did at APe's dad home,

跟著我哋好似係猴爸屋企咁又食又攞，

We took a lot of gooseberries and 

攞咗成盒波娜花園種嘅紅同白色鵝莓，

Two zucchini from Paula's beautiful garden!

重有兩條zucchini! 

Paula also reserved a huge pumpkin for us.

波娜重留咗個南瓜俾我哋，

We will go and get it when its ripe.

熟咗後我哋就去攞啦！

Haha¬

哈哈！

APe and are envy Paula for having such a wonderful haven in the middle of the city.

芬蘭猴同我都好羡慕波娜係市內有個小天地，

She can plant herbs, vegetables and fruits for self-consumption.

重種咗成花園香草，菜同果實。

We can also plant something in our big balcony.

我哋個露台都可以種嘢。

After having coffee with Annie Wang, a friend who is also in Helsinki now, today,

今日下奏我同安妮飲完咖啡後，

APe will take me to Ikea.

就同芬蘭猴去宜家宜家。

We have been talking about having our own garden.

我哋商量後，

Before we really have one, we will try it out in the balcony, planting oregano, basil, tomato, zucchini.

決定種牛至，羅勒，蕃茄，zucchini，小小哋試下先。

Mr. Mok from school asked me to try Aquaponics,
莫sir之前叫我試下魚菜共生，

Hmm... it might be a little difficult.
但係呢度有D困難，

As it snows here,
冬天會落雪，

And temperature can drop down to min 20 degree Celsius.
重可能會零下二十度。

We don't want to have to move a huge system,

唔想搬出搬入，

What if we drop the fish tank?

跌爆魚缸未大件事⋯

All in all,

總結，

I had another wonderful day.

今日好開心，

Other than dining in the garden again,

除咗係花園野餐，

I met some new friends,

識咗D新朋友外，

What makes a person more contented than

良朋歡聚，

Meeting good friends, chitchatting and having a marvelous time together?

一樂也！

3rd August

8月3日

Nothing much was going on.
今日無乜攪作，

I just typed my blog,
除咗寫Blog外，

And waited for APe to be home to cook me sausage soup after he played volleyball with friends.
就係等芬蘭猴打完排球番屋企煮香腸湯俾我食！

My snacks :):) You know what they are? :P
我呢排嘅零食！你估下係乜？：）

In the morning,
一朝早，

Wanting to finish the 3 potato, 1/4 eggplant and 1/4 pounds minced meat,

我為咗要清咗雪櫃裡面嘅三粒薯仔，四分一條矮瓜，其中四分一磅肉碎，

I mixed them and pan-fried something funny as breakfast!

我煮咗個炒雜碎！

When I was eating, there was gun shot!

食食下突然間聽到槍聲！

Boom！Boom！Boom！Boom！

好多聲！

My heart sank and I wondered if it was a terrorist attack!
心想：「唔係恐襲呀？」

There were two rounds of it.
一輪完咗後又一輪，

I was so sacred that I ran into the bathroom.
嚇到我即刻走咗入廁所，

Hoping to get away from the windows.
離開近窗嘅地方。

When everything quiet down,
靜咗後，

I realised that there was no yelling at all.
又聽唔到有人大叫喎！

Could there really be so few people on the street?

唔通真係少人得咁緊要？

All of a sudden,

跟著，

I heard the siren of an ambulance!

突然間聽到救護車聲！

OMG!

Then nothing happened again.
但係跟著又無嘢喎！

What was going on?
究竟乜事？？？

Later APe said,
之後芬蘭猴話，

There is a military base nearby.
原來附近有個軍事基地，

Yesterday,
噙日，

They were training to shoot.
就係練靶日。

I was relieved.
咁都放心D。

I will not update the blog in the upcoming days.
呢兩日都唔會更新網志，

Cause we are heading for Turku to visit his brother, Mikko!
因為我哋週末去圖爾庫探米高哥哥呀！

Looking forward to it!
