Farewell Dinner 餞行飯

My in-laws came and visited us from Thursday to Saturday 
老爺奶奶星期四晚嚟咗,

Before heading off to their second-3 or 4 month-Southeast-Asia-retirement-expedition tomorrow.
星期六下午上機展開佢哋退休後第二次嘅悠長假期。

The first destination is the same as last year's: Thailand
今次一個目的地同上年一樣:泰國。

Hope they can be back in time to see Toivo's grand arrival to this world!
希望佢哋趕得切番嚟見証丞宗出世啦!

So for these two days, 
喺呢兩日,

The first time housewife who never did any housework or cooking took up the wifey role,
從來都唔做家務同飯來張口嘅我當然要扮演賢淑媳婦啦!

我有幾咁賢淑?哇哈哈!
And prepared dinner for all of us! 

I made a 1-catty cha-siu, 
我一個人煮咗一斤叉燒,

A fried rice in YangChow style for 8ppl ( shrimp was replaced by crab sticks) 
8人份量楊洲炒版(用蟹柳代替蝦)

As well as a really spectacular red bean soup with sago!!! 
同超起沙嘅紅豆西米露!

APe had to go to work but he was so kind to cook us fried vegetables with bacon.
芬蘭猴要番工都表演炒煙肉雜菜!

The food received a lot of complements. 
我嘅練習有成果啦!D餸好好味呀!

Yet I still don't know how to determine if the meat is good or bad or lean or fat through the clingy wrap packaging..
但係我重未識點樣隔住包裝睇舊肉肥定瘦或靚定唔靚⋯
